AvenorOS 1.0.1 moves to a new base and adds a set of everyday tools.
What's new
- Now based on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS with KDE Plasma. No Snap.
- FrameFX Linux Beta11 is in the dock.
- Install App lets you pick which drive an app goes on.
- Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) shows CPU and GPU clock speeds, usage and temperatures, plus a process list.
- The start menu has Lock, Sign out, Sleep, Restart and Shut down.
- A Welcome app runs on first boot: Wi-Fi, drive choice and starter apps.
- Settings opens to a tiled home: Display, Network, Apps, Updates and Storage.
- One Updates screen covers system and app updates.
- One accent colour and one line-icon set across the system.
Upgrading from 1.0.0
1.0.0 was based on Arch, so 1.0.1 is a fresh install. It wipes the disk you install it on. Back up first.
